The Obiliq LED Team, together with the teams of the other municipalities participating in the project, as well as representatives of the Ministry of LocalGovernment Administration (MLGA) and experts from Riinvest Institute, took partin one-week study tour in Slovenia (15–21 October 2006). During this tour allparticipants had the opportunity to become informed of, and concretely see the Slovenian experience in, the field of LED, organization and functioning of local administration, drafting of development strategies, establishment and functioning of business supporting agencies, construction of business zones, business incubators in Slovenia, etc.
The municipal leadership, together with the LED Team, extend their gratitude toOSI and LGI, SDC and Riinvest for their support in drafting this very importantdocument for the municipality and its citizens.
The Strategy for Local Economic Development of Obiliq Municipality was presented to the Board of the Directors and the Policy and Finance Committee on27 March 2007 and was approved by the Municipal Assembly in a session held on 15 October 2007.
