Among other information provided is a list of publications of the project and a dataset of variables on each group. In this site "five kinds of information are provided on each of 268 politically-significant communal groups. - The group's name and estimated population in 1995 in each country in which it lives in significant numbers.
- A background account of the group's characteristics and political setting. These accounts vary widely in detail.
- A chronology of events initiated by or affecting the group from 1990 through 1995. Some of these chronologies begin earlier than 1990. In countries where several groups are jointly involved in conflict, as in Lebanon, a single country-wide chronology is provided.
- An assessment of prospects for change in the group's status and conflict in the near future.
- A selective list of works consulted. Citations to specific journalistic accounts used to construct chronologies are NOT given."
