BMMC The Bishkek Migration Management Center
"The Bishkek Migration Management Center (BMMC) was established by the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic, the International Organization for Migration (IOM), and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) for the purposes of comprehensively researching migration and refugee issues in the states of Central Asia and the region as a whole, assisting in the development of migration legislation and policies, and training personnel. This web site is under construction. The BMMC will be adding information in each of the above categories and will introduce new categories on statistics and country of origin information. Other Central Asian states have recognized the Center’s regional role and support its activities. The Inter-State Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Tajikistan, and the Republic of Uzbekistan has also endorsed the Center as a regional body." Civic Assistance: The Committee for Helping Refugees and Forced Migrants.
Alexander Roubin, Russian Federation. "The committee Civic Assistance was founded in 1990 to help the first wave of refugees in Moscow. From that time on Civic Assistance took on the tasks of legal consulting for refugees and forced migrants. CCA played the intermediary role for the relations between the refugees and governmental official structures, provided defense in the courts, and defended of the rights of refugees for housing and work. The CCA also holds a weekly reception of refugees in Moscow, distributing financial and practical help.
