The following database contains case studies on innovative practices in the field of community relations in multiethnic environment and local initiatives for ethnic conflict resolution. Materials included are written by contributors to the case study writing project of Managing Multiethnic Communities Project (MMCP) of LGI. The aim of this database is to provide researchers, activists and public officials with a forum to share their experiences in developing innovative strategies to address issues related to the management of multiethnic communities.
In the fall of 1999, LGI Managing Multiethnic Communities Project and the Center for European Migration and Ethnic Studies (CEMES) have engaged into a partnership to update and maintain the database of case studies on innovative practices in the field of community relations in multiethnic environment and local initiatives for ethnic conflict resolution.
Become a contributor of the BEST PRACTICE DATABASE!
LGI MMCP and CEMES invite officials in public administration, activists in the non-governmental sphere, as well as researchers, scholars or other experts to share information on innovative practices in the field of community relations in multiethnic environment and local initiatives for ethnic conflict resolution with which they are involved or which they have observed, investigated or heard of.
We call for written case-files describing and analyzing such innovative practices. Authors of submissions will receive an amount of 100 USD for each case file that satisfies the requirements of the database. Submitted case files should contain short policy analysis on the innovative practice. The length of case files should be 3-5 pages. For a better understanding of what case files should contain. Please read our guidelines (guide.doc). Each submission should be accompanied by a registration form (regform.doc).
If you know of an interesting case of local level innovative practice which would enrich our database but you have no time or you are not interested in writing the case file please send us a short note about the practice. We might be able to find somebody willing to write it.
