Abstract The aim of the research was to map the Slovak-Hungarian relations on the territory of the Slovak Republik using the methods of the quantitative social research conducted on a sample of 1,500 Slovak citizens, as well as to employ the method of the ethnopsychological research. The latter method identified sensitive areas, the causes of tensions, and emotional and intellectual backgrounds, while the former method offered the posibility to gain the precise picture of validity of the individual and qualitative methods.
