Abstract This book describes the situation of minorities in the former Yugoslavia, Bulgaria, Greece, and Albania from a historical and a contemporary perspective. The author analyzes how the turbulent developments in the Balkans during 1991 and 1992 continue to affect the minorities of the region. The newest chapter of this edition examines the process of disintegration, the Bosnian crisis, the refugee problem in Vojvodina, and the developmenta in Sandzak, Kosovo, and Macedonia.
